ABOUT US
The flooded Rumchalpa quarry is one of the most beautiful diving sites in the Czech Republic. Since 1979, the former quarry has been used for recreational and technical diving and offers a peaceful environment for visitors who want to enjoy swimming and nature near the Krkonoše Mountains and Bohemian Paradise.
The water is home to a rich underwater life, ranging from pike and perch to koi carp, crayfish, and unique catfish. The area is excluded from the fishing grounds, and fishing is prohibited here.
Rumchalpa also has an interesting history. The name was created by combining the words "rum" (waste or debris left over after mining) and "chalpa" (an East Bohemian term for a building). The first mentions date back to the 16th century, when there was a settlement here and wood and stone were probably mined.
Today, Rumchalpa is a place where diving, nature, and relaxation come together—ideal for training, families, and anyone looking for peace and quiet by clear water.

ACCOMMODATION
The complex offers facilities for divers and visitors looking for a peaceful location with clean water and close to the Krkonoše Mountains and Bohemian Paradise. There are cozy cabins and rooms in the main building, all with bedding provided.
The grounds feature a common room with a fireplace stove, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, smokehouse, and large grill. There are also showers, toilets, and a drying room for diving equipment. Families will appreciate the larger cabin with plenty of space, while romantics will love the cabin right by the water.
Check-in is from 4 p.m., check-out is by 11 a.m. If you wish to remain on the premises after returning your keys, you can pay an additional fee for admission to the premises.
